At Clements High School we have a total of 6 orchestras, I am in the Symphonette orchestra which is the 3rd highest, playing the violin. Throughout the year we have many different concerts as well as competitions, last week we had our last concert, the POP concert which is always the most fun. We played music from Laufey, Concerto Gross, as well as a mix from the James Bond movies. I have played the violin for over 12 years now (I even have my first, tiny, violin still at the house) and these concerts are always something special. We run through and practice the pieces a lot, but the music really comes to life when you get to perform on stage with an audience. Next year will be my 7th year in orchestra and I’m excited to see what music I get to experience next.
